Founders of Mobilus are Electrical and Electronics M.Sc.s pursuing PhD degrees in the Middle East Technical University. They have technical and academic backgrounds in semantic video processing, retrieval and transmission related topics. They have worked in Information Technologies and Electronics Research Institute of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey for four years.
They have taken part in and leaded various projects. These projects included:
- BilVMS (http://vms.bilten.metu.edu.tr): An intelligent video management system, built as the result of a research project.
- Military satellite image processing application developed for Turkish Naval Research Center Command.
- TV Broadcast analysis application, GÖRETAS.
Academic interests of the Mobilus team include
- Video Adaptation for Mobile Devices,
- Automatic video summarization,
- Video and image indexing,
classification, retrieval.
- 3D shape matching.
